It was very busy due to it being Mother’s Day. We went for breakfast and got my favorite Old Timers Breakfast and added grits. When we got our food she forgot my biscuits and gravy and it was a little bit before I got it. I asked for butter for the grits but never got it so my husband gave me some from his pancakes. My scrambled eggs were not cooked all the way and seemed slimy. A young man walking around serving coffee was able to get me new eggs and another lady got me more biscuits and gravy. One of the biscuits was very hard. After all that things were OK. Everyone who helped us was extremely nice, but once all our food was served our server never stopped back by to ask if everything was good. I had to ask another lady to get our check. Was not a great dining experience but everyone who helped us other than our server went above and beyond.

Cracker Barrel: A Gonzo Breakfast Baptism in Americana By the time the pancakes hit the table, the air was already thick with the scent of syrup and fried hope. Cracker Barrel. A roadside cathedral to a vanishing America, buried somewhere between Interstate existentialism and a Norman Rockwell fever dream. I staggered in half-mad with hunger and nostalgia, looking for breakfast and maybe salvation. I found both. The waitress floated over in a gingham halo, pouring coffee like it was holy water, and I ordered pancakes like a man possessed. They arrived hot, golden, and unapologetically fat—stacked like a carb-loaded tribute to the gods of comfort. I baptized them in butter and syrup, then commenced the ceremony. Each bite was a defiant slap in the face of kale-eating New Age ascetics. This was food that didn’t care about your cholesterol or your therapist. It just was. After the last buttery forkful, I stumbled into the country store, disoriented but spiritually awake. The place is a warped museum of Americana—nostalgia weaponized. Moon pies, old metal signs, weirdly aggressive candy sticks that could’ve been props from a 1950s noir film. You don’t browse here. You time travel. It’s like wandering through your grandmother’s attic if your grandmother was a Depression-era moonshiner with a fondness for peanut brittle and rocking chairs. They’re selling a dream here, wrapped in gingham and dipped in sentimentality—and damned if I didn’t buy a handful of it. Final analysis: Cracker Barrel isn’t just a restaurant. It’s a greasy-fingered hallucination of simpler times, served with a side of hashbrown casserole and wrapped in porch-front capitalism. And if you’re lucky, you’ll walk out full, dazed, and holding a tin of licorice you don’t remember buying. God bless pancakes. God bless America.

Clean and safe Cracker Barrel located near the highway. We came through in an RV and were happy to have plenty of RV parking available. Had a nice warm dinner/breakfast and enjoyed some time walking around the store. The food was good and fresh and the service was friendly.

I enjoyed my Chicken Pot Pie. Was delicious. Made me feel full half way through eating it. Took the rest home. Our Waitress was very friendly and took care of us and even things she forgot quickly went and got it.

Food was delicious. The tables were clean. I only give 2 stars on service because the pepper sauce and vinegar was only peppers. No vinegar and the waitress never came to check so I wasn't able to enjoy my meal like I normally do. She was sweet and attentive, but we ate lunch at 2 so they weren't busy.

Always a good place to go to go for that southern comfort food. During the week service is excellent but expect a little longer wait on the food during the weekend. I recommend country fried steak and hash brown casserole is a must. They also have a super cool store that sells many different kinds of gifts from kids toys to household stuff. Very unique finds including old fashion candy.

We usually have a great experience when dining here, however, this time the service left quite a bit to be desired. I brought my mother and my son (1yrs) to eat lunch and the waitress seemed to be in a bad mood. She asked us immediately when we sat down if we knew what we wanted to order (we had not even gotten to open the menu yet) we told her we needed a minute, she returned with our drinks and asked again, we told her we needed another minute as I couldn't find the kids menu so I asked her for one. She came back with a sheet of paper that was just a coloring page with no food listed anywhere on it. We decided against getting a meal for my son since we figured maybe they just didn't have a kids menu, and instead ordered meals he could share with us. She came back LITERALLY not even 30 seconds after handing the piece of paper to me and asked us what we wanted. Feeling rushed, we took the hint and went ahead and just ordered. She never once refilled my mom's drink. I'm usually a good tipper ($15-20) but with being rushed, not checking on my mom's drink, and not being given a kids menu (I checked online after we ate and saw there was definitely a kids menu he would have enjoyed) I only tipped $5. Super disappointed in the service this time so it will be a while before I return.
