Shockingly unprofessional customer service. The grumpy middle aged man with glasses doesn’t know how to speak to women and goes out of his way to be disgustingly rude. Collecting parcels process is not secure, as they leave out the bags full of parcels on the shop floor and expect you to rummage through countless parcels in different bags while refusing to help at all. This means that everyone has access to peoples parcels and could easily read your personal information as well as steal your parcel. Will not be coming back here and would highly recommend others to avoid this place.

People working here are so rude, avoid. Men working there should learn to smile more - it’s customer service 101.

My experience here had always been positive.

Staff was very rude to me. I was looking for my parcel (they always make the customer rummage through their dirty parcel storage instead of them looking for it) I told him I could not find it. I told him that I received a message two weeks ago that it is on it’s way but did not receive a confirmation message that it arrived so I checked. I found out that they have my package but they tried to return it because I did not pick it up on time. He blamed me for not getting it on time (I said I did not receive any confirmation email saying it has arrived, instead I just came in to check). Staff was very rude telling me it’s not their fault (I never accused him in the first place) but he was very confrontational. I felt really abused by their staff, he even told me he will never receive any parcel for me. I just don’t get his attitude when I was never rude to him in the first place. This is very disgraceful and will never ever go back to this shop again. I am shocked because I read the other reviews and they also said the same thing. Avoid this place.

This place is your best option if you are looking for the WORST experience in Beckenham. Make sure you know how to go through all the procedures by yourself, picking-up/dropping-off the parcel because clearly the staff there are really not willing to offer any help, give any instructions or answer anything. I am sure the only responsibility for the staff there is to blame the customer of not knowing. Would have given 0 out of 5 star if able to.

Some of the reviews here have merit, but some are a bit overly harsh. So for any of you fellow Beckenham go getters who are considering using this shop, let me provide a rational summary: - The Hermes delivery system is pretty good. You can simply go in there, scan QR code and drop it off. No need to really speak to anyone or waste any unnecessary time. People on this page are being a bit overly harsh with regards to their comments, what do you expect from this service? You are getting free returns, very conveniently. Are you expecting the red carpet to be rolled out or something? - The closing hours are taken quite seriously by the man behind the desk, so make sure you are "ahead of the curve" on that one. - The owner of the shop can be a bit grumpy, but then on other days he can be very friendly. I would label him an average convenience store owner. That is to say, it is all relative. Again, you're not going to be getting the same level of service as a high-end restaurant here. Different industries, different clients, different expectations. Deal with it. - The shop isn't dirty, I don't know where that has come from - The man does make you drop off your own parcel, but that is hardly a taxing request (you have to walk two footsteps and deposit in a corner) - There is an assortment of sweets, treats, chocolates, snacks and cakes Overall, it does what it says on the tin. It, very plainly, is a "convenience store".
