Good chips, great size portions. Eat in and takeaway areas. I’m vegetarian and enjoyed the mozzarella sticks and battered mushrooms. Staff are friendly.

I visited Minnis Bay Fish and Chips on May 27th at about 2.15pm. It is just a short walk from the station. I just wanted a snack to eat while I was walking. I ordered a portion of chips and a pickled onion. The chips were nice and crisp and hot. Very large for a standard portion. I was given 2 pickled onions as they were 'small'. They were decent sized to be honest. I'll certainly visit again.

My host at the Old Coach House recommended Minnis Bay Fish and Chips and said they were the best ones. So I gave it a go. Staff were welcoming and friendly. The place looked clean and tidy. My fish was fresh and tasted heavenly - I was not disappointed! The extra eating-in charge is the only reason I did not give it 5 stars.

My first experience of this fish and chip shop was when I retired to the coast in December 2024 - service with a smile and a kind word made my visit feel so special and welcoming. The 'Minnis Bay Special' is now a staple of mine! The fish and chips freshly cooked and both to perfection; I have eaten in so many fish and chips shops - the best I have tasted by far. They are 5 star rated! Not surprised and 100% agree with the rating! The owners, Halef and Elena, are very engaging as well as Sila, Halef's wife and the assistant, Neve which makes such a difference. Eat in or take-out. Believe me when I say I'm hooked!

We usually have fish and chips here during our visits to England. This time it was our first meal. We split one large order of fries for five people. Granted, we didn’t want too much fries so it worked out well for us. I ordered the cod which was also massive compared to what I would get in the US. Husband ordered the fish cakes which seemed smaller than what they usually served. Definitely hit the spot.

Popped in for luch while working in the area. Ordered a regular cod and chips with a saveloy. What i got was a huge code and another lump of cod ontop of that....! Was absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked. The chips are some of the best ive had nice and dry /crispy with a perfect texture inside The guys here are doing it right. I will definitely be back when passing and would even go out of my way to enjoy their food . Highly recommended 👌
