This shop is a hidden gem in Brighton! They offer delicious Japanese cuisine with a super friendly price, while the portion still very generous! Would definitely recommend and come back!

Me and friends came in for dinner. First time visiting. Waitress at the door was friendly. Food coming out was incredibly fast as well as delicious. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to eat. Atmosphere inside was also great very cozy and inviting.

I thought the food would be really great after judging their google reviews but was really disappointed by how normal it was. It was really basic taste wise or maybe i was expecting more because i love Japanese food. The ambience did not click with me as i felt like i was having food at someones home. I was seated upstairs and had to come downstairs to place an order and then go to cash machine to get cash which isnt convenient at all(they accept cash only). I sat down to eat and remembered they did not give me tap water so i had to go down again to request tap water. The service was good no complaints but the place felt like it was a restaurant forcefully made at someones 🏠

Cash only. Nice place to eat with reasonable prices, however, the sesame tofu Don didn’t taste particularly sesame-y. But still a good meal.

Come here as often as I can, the food is always delicious, authentic and high quality. Never a long wait. Amazing staff very friendly. A must-go-to if you’re visiting Brighton! Fave local restaurant!

The food is as unpretentious as the floor is unvarnished. Staff and service is friendly and fast. Photographic menu on the wall, text menu on the table. Order and pay at the counter. Payment is cash only.

The food here is exactly what you order and it's always yummy. It's great value and the staff are always lovely. There's no music so when it's quiet, it's kind of awkward. I wish there was some noise.

Beautiful Japanese food at an affordable price! This is the second Pompoko to open in Brighton and it's just as good as the first one! It's fast and good quality!
