Lotus Sushi

Disappointed, Half hot half cold, The chicken in the Katsu curry wasn't even breadcumbed?! We used to go here all the time but probably won't bother anymore. Prices have increased and quality has decreased sadly

From 4 dishes only one was good other 3 all of the noodles and rice ware massivley overcooked! Noodles mushed up and rice its like a paste. All in the bin. Wasted 33£… not happy

Very good sushi. The rice was moist and the quailty of the grains was good, with the rice not over seasoned and pressed to the right softness. The toppings were also good quality and were from fresh ingredients.

Had a chicken curry with rice, amazing portion for price, perfect food hack on a day out.

I lived in Japan for almost a decade and I’ve eaten a lot of good Japanese food in London. The chicken Katsu and prawn katsu curry were okay but could be much better. It’s delivered in a large cup like container and it’s all mixed together so the katsu loses its crispy texture. The rice wasn’t quite up to standard as well. Decent portion size but probably won’t order again from here.

Stopped by for lunch. We had a spicy crispy california roll, maki mix, another mixed tray and dumplings. The quality for the price was amazing and they gave us a free bowl of wakame, tofu, miso soup. We LOVED the spicy katsu roll and will be back for more!

The staff of Lotus Chelmsford not friendly. One specific person, maybe she get up in the other side of bed. Never go to work if you have bad attitude. If the customer ask you don't get angry. I will complain more. Need to settle myself first, because she really gets me angry. I asked politely about the portion of rice they serve. I ordered Japanese curry and they gave me 3/4 full of rice and small portion of chicken curry. And then they told me no one ever complain, then I said its about time you hear someone's complaining because its not right you just give customers what you like, we the customer want also the value of our money. And secondly I've been grow up eating rice and I've been working in Japan for seven years, they never served mushy rice. Chelmsford Lutos staff, you should learn to accept question from the customer because you're the face of the company you've been working, don't be rude with your customers because you don't know that someone can face your rudeness too. I hope this complain will reach the management.
