Number One Chinese @ Wokon

I began using the Number One when we had a caravan at Bracklesham. Unfortunately we lost the use of it in 2017. Every Friday night heading out from London, we'd be anticipating a takeaway from the Number One. We were fortunate to become acquainted with the owners over time. I could never criticise the quality or value of the food and had occasion to eat both in or out. Exceptional food, lovely people, greatly missed. However, I'm only seventy mile away and I will be back!!

My favourite take away, I now refuse to eat Chinese food from anywhere else as it just doesn't compare. Think I've eaten most of the menu now and never had a bad dish. Staff are always friendly and happy to help if ordering for special dietary requirements. Still have no idea how they deliver it just as hot and tasty to my home 20 minutes away as they do to my mum's less than 5 minutes away.

We have been using Number One since it opened in the late 80’s and it continues to be our favourite Chinese restaurant and takeaway. This small family run business has worked hard through the pandemic to adapt, and has transformed itself to take away only (where many others may just have given up and closed) - which the Witterings are very thankful for, as the food is always fantastic. I cannot recommend this highly enough for its friendly, efficient service - and of course delicious authentic food!

Have been using this lovely little take away for almost 8 years now. Can’t fault them in any way. Always polite and friendly ! And the food is delicious always hot and tasty. Delivery is always quick and on time .Our go to Chinese would highly recommend.

Used No.1 for many years, never a bad meal only comment check order as have had to pop back in the past to pick up missed items when using take away. Otherwise fantastic. Always my birthday meal! Friendly staff, food hot and tasty. Hard finding anywhere else as good!

THE BEST Chinese takeaway, not just locally but that I’ve ever had. You have to try the Crackling Pork and the Prawn Toast, I promise you won’t have had Prawn Toast like it before 🤩 😋 Heidi is always so friendly too, if you’re local or visiting the Witterings, do not miss out!

Young inexperienced chef belittling lovely receptionist. Using the wrong type of tofu or/cooking it wrong. Worst effort I've ever seen. Got rude when asked how it was prepared. I strongly do not recommend this Chinese for their plant based options. Chips were good.

Our favourite Chinese takeaway! Always excellent service and fabulous food. Plus they deliver it to us! Couldn’t ask for more. Highly recommended. Thanks for your continued commitment to great customer service.
