My phone number is very similar (2 digits flipped), so I get phone calls daily from people looking to place an order with this deli. Always instruct them that they have the wrong number, had one person call me 3 times they kept inputting it wrong, we had a good laugh. Sounds like a great deli, love to visit sometime, would love it more if they had a different number!! The Cheese Steak is popular.

The salad bar :fresh greens , dressing, chick peas, chicken, tomatoes, etc . You make it yourself. All the cold cut subs are excellent... the hot ones no comment. Tons of chips and snacks. Coffee and Stash tea in the morning. Lotto, soda, and juice. Always friendly owners.

Ok so I had an amazing steak n cheese sub from here about 2 months ago. So I decided to return and try some other sandwiches. So a friend and I called and ordered ahead. Grilled chicken wrap, steak n cheese and sausage n peppers subs. I was very disappointed! The size of the sub decreased, the quality of the meat appears and tastes different. My onions were overcooked almost charred. Grilled chicken was dry and overcooked as well. The sauce on sausage and peppers was very salty. Sausages were burnt on ends and dry as well. I was surprised and very disappointed. I called to complain and the owner/mgr did attempt to rectify the situation. I returned the following week to try the steak n cheese again. It was flavorful, cooked correctly yet I still say the meat has changed! I give up on the hot subs!!!

For one I asked for a steak & cheese on a roll with lettuce tomato grilled onions. Just look at what they gave me!!! Won’t be ordering any more steak & cheese from here.

Great place for a great sandwich the guys in the kitchen excellent especially the Spanish guy that takes the orders

My first time here today. Chipotle was closed down by the Health Department. Rats I guess according to another customer at the Marketa. The deli was packed with students after high school but the gentleman up front asked me if I wanted deli and he expedited my order. I would recommend doing business here.

Ordered a Italian combo it came with bologna no prosciutto I paid $15 for a bologna sandwich that they didn't even heat up

Omg for me it is always a pleasure everytime to go visit this store “THE MARKETA” because it is the best service is excellent, unique, special and also because both the owners and the staff always have a good attitude, good character, and a spectacular way of serving customers. It is the best store in Downtown, New Haven, CT,…I love this store very much.
