I had brunch here today: the food was so tasty, the drinks were enjoyable, the service was delightful and the atmosphere, first thing in the morning, was calm and quiet. A perfect venue to spend an hour reading after eating. The only thing that would made this place better (for me) is a hanger on the lavatory door to give me somewhere to hang my coat while in there. Otherwise, simply marvellous.

Second visit. Breakfast on Sunday morning. Waited half an hour for a bacon sandwich. When I inquired about it was told it wouldn’t be long, was given no apology. Had a further wait still not apology. Had to ask for a replacement coffee as it had gone cold whilst waiting. I would’ve expected a complementary one and only my partner received one. Food was ok. Nothing to rave about considering it was a bit on the pricy side. Definitely won’t be going back.

Absolutly Superb. A great dining experience. Simple food with the highest quality. From breakfast eggs benedict to afternoon business meetings or coffee with friends to an intimate date night, Blacks corner ticks every box. I have meetings here regularly with clients from out of the area and every single one says the same, " i wish i had this place on my doorstep."

Food was great, wine was great but cannot say how amazing staff and service was. I don’t think I’ve ever had the good fortune to be surrounded by so many fabulous staff. From getting a drink at the bar, explaining the menus etc they were some of the best I’ve ever came across. Would definitely come back.

Excellent food. Pancakes and pancetta was superb. Shame it’s on such a busy road which is noisy when outside. Would defo recommend however.

Lovely place to visit. Really stylish decor inside and sunny seating areas outside. ordered latte and scone for me, toasted teacake for my daughter in law. Very quick service, cuppas were lovely along with our very tasty treats!! Definitely recommend a visit-we will be returning soon!
