Popped in for an early dinner recently and had a really warm greeting. We didn’t have a booking but they managed to accommodate us and our 10 month old (high chair was available). Good menu selection and food was fresh and of great quality. Staff were very friendly and gave the right amount of attention. We’d definitely come back soon.

Okay.....this is a hard one as I think the place is quite confused in what it wants to be and I question if it will be a long-term success due to a few issues I will cover. The non-food bit: The positives : The restaurant is beautifully decorated, and clean. Good parking Outdoor seating as a former pub Full range of lunch and evening choices. The negatives: Even though it was quite empty at 7pm and we had booked, felt rushed, we had clearly not even opened menu as was talking but were twice asked in quick succession if we were ready to order. Food came out VERY quick (virtually no time between courses) and we were in only for an hour. If they'd given us time we'd have ordered another bottle of wine and beer so they easily lost another £60-£100. Given you have to drive there and are a captive audience I don't get the rush? The food Okay this is where it gets tricky. The prices are on the high side for a standard curry and rice at £20 for a Rogan Josh, for that price you expect a 'Wow' factor and it wasn't there for rhe most part. Chilli Prawns: fantastic, well presented and delicious even if around £9 for 3 prawns is steep. Lamb samosa: Okay....£8 for 1 Samosa is frankly ridiculous. It was nice but not £8 nice. Chicken Jalfrezi: served just standard, no pizzazz and very average. Perfectly edible. But no better than a £7 takeaway. Lamb Rogan Josh: see review of Jalfrezi Pilau Rice: no issue Plain Naan: No issue Aubergine Bhaji: lovely!! So you see it was a total mixed bag. The starters were were served as if in a high end new age Indian, but then the curries were very average and served with no flair. It was like 2 different restaurants! For me it was a case of 2 standout dishes, and 2 over priced very average curries. The restaurant previously existed in a kot great location on way to Gosport and I fear this may end up the case here. I have VERY high standards for for curry having eaten them all over UK and Europe. When your expecting customers to drive into the sticks you have to deliver something exceptional. Especially at the price point which it didn't! On these notes I certainly wouldn't go back.

Visited for dinner. Absolutely delicious, best biriani I have ever had. The restaurant felt cosy and elegant, the staff were friendly. Only annoyance was a visiting dog barking every few minutes but otherwise we thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would love to come again!

The make over the new owners have done is excellent. It’s smart and comfortable. We got a warm welcome and the service was just right, not intrusive but there whenever you need them. I cannot commend the quality of the food enough. The portion sizes were just right, we were full but not stuffed. We had 2 courses, chicken biryani’s with poppadoms (The dips are so delicious) and nan bread sides. The bill was very reasonable for the quality of the experience. We’ve already booked to go again. Book early.

I must say that the lamb Madras at Krishnas’s I had last night was the best that I have eaten for a very long time. It must be at least forty years since I have had such a lovely meal. So genuinely authentic. Hot and spicy as if should be. Well done Mt Chef.

Despite website saying this was open and sign on door stating it should be open it definitely wasn’t!!! Reviews states it welcomes walkers but I walked 2km from the nearest campsite and very annoyed to find Inn wasn’t open. So a wasted walk for me
