Normally I love eating here, but our latest experience was a sad one. I ordered the beef Manhattan, I love their Manhattan. Maybe the chef was having a bad day. It was tasteless and for the amount of money I paid for my dinner it was skimpy. The mashed potatoes were half the normal amount. Tastless. My husband food was over cooked and the country fried steak was hard. We both left still hungry.

Such a great little historical building to have a wonderful breakfast in! Stopped in on a Saturday and found only 1 table open. We were seated almost immediately. Took drink order and was left a simple 1 page breakfast menu. Drinks came in 2 minutes. Placed order. Food took a little while (20 minutes) but this place was packed to the gills. From where we sat you could see into the kitchen, and I feel great knowing how clean everything was. Almost spotless even for a busy Saturday morning. The waitstaff was super friendly, and quick to tend to any needs (coffee never got below half tank). Once food came out I was delighted at how well it was cooked and how great everything tasted. The potato cake takes the stage for me. Soft and creamy on the inside, nice cristy outer shell without being over done. Very good! Egg cooked to perfection. This place is a gem, and I will be back. If in Vincennes and looking for an excellent breakfast, look no further!

Stopped in for breakfast whilst on a road trip to Memphis. Well worth the detour. The menu is limited compared to many breakfast diners but what they do they do well and at a good price. The historic old town is interesting to look around as well.

In town on business trip and hotel breakfast wasn't going to cut it. Found this little spot and had to go. Fresh everything from sausage patties to warm and fluffy pancakes. Great small town atmosphere with locals chatting amongst themselves and the waitress stopping at tables to join in. Food was quick, service was great and coffee was hot and fresh.. If I am ever in Vincennes again will definitely be on my to-do list.

It was a small hometown dinner with a vibe of “everyone is welcome, hun!” The food was typical diner fare—nothing fancy, and it was southern Midwest. It's a cute neighborhood and a short walk from our Airbnb, which rocked. The staff was super attentive, and the owners were on-site. We were in town for a funeral, and this was an excellent way to start a tough day. We’ll be back.

We stopped here on our way through and it is absolutely fantastic. The pancakes were a family favorite but absolutely all of the food we had was perfect. 10/10 we're going to to make sure more road trips run past the Diner.
