Eat Tokyo (Notting Hill Gate)

Popped into Eat Tokyo in Notting Hill Gate for dinner, curious about its Japanese roots. It was a solid meal, worth a try. We ordered Sushi A, udon noodles, Tempura Ebi (shrimp), and some draught beers. The Sushi A was fresh and well-prepared, definitely decent for London. The udon noodles came with a warm, tasty broth, and the Tempura Ebi was crispy and light. The menu’s massive, packed with options, which is great if you’re into variety, though it can take a minute to sift through. The staff were friendly and kept things running smoothly, and the place had a chill, laid-back vibe that made it easy to relax. The draught beers were cold and paired nicely with the food. Overall, it was a good spot for a Japanese meal, and the prices felt fair for what we got. I’d swing by again if I’m in Notting Hill and craving sushi or tempura.

As an Eat Tokyo enjoyer, I know exactly what I’m signing up for when I go to their branch. The staff is polite, the service is quick and the food is always amazing, although overall I prefer the restaurant from Hammersmith. The only thing I’d recommend is that the restaurant would be heated up a bit more, especially during the cold season. We were there last week and it was so cold I couldn’t take my jacket off. A bit of a warmer room temperature would positively contribute towards the general experience, besides that everything is good!

Very authentic, tasty and great service. Portions were big and affordable. Less than £56 for everything including multiple alcoholic drinks and hot sake!

Delicious food!! Really really good. The value for money is a winner here. Amazing prices for the great quality you get. The service is great, yes. But, if you’re served by the Japanese staff.

Great food combined with fresh ingredients and tasty dishes, the service is poor unfortunately the males who look after dining area both the one wear glasses and the one with suits are poor mannered and very serious, no hospitality at all. We are regular and grateful for Nobuko efforts.

Good quality sushi with fast service. Cafe style so quite basic, substantial menu was great as it also had pictures of everything.

Consistently great Japanese food at a fair price. The sushi is fresh, portions are generous, and everything tastes reliably good. Service is also quick and simple.

A Basement based restaurant, wide entrance goes down to the restaurant busy as other Eat Tokyo bit wait which is acceptable,the Japanese lady host was ver polite and respectful. Interestingly,Eat Tokyo has started changing the fee of containers and bags which I learned from this time.( Must be a long time since last time I visit.)
