We had a lovely experience here. We walked in and shown straight to our table. Drinks ordered and then a little wait to order some food. My partner had the special of coconut prawns which looked amazing (it had gluten so not for me) he gave it a 9 😁. We had our mains and dessert which didn't shirk on flavour. Most enjoyable in a lovely decorated restaurant. We will be visiting again soon.

Sister pub to the Black Horse in Ireland. Food is very comparable and service was excellent throughout. I had the sticky Korean BBQ ribs on egg fried rice. The ribs were seasoned and cooked very well, although the egg fried rice was lacking a little flavour. Solid 4/5. I then followed this up with the fish and chips, excited with what I received at the Black Horse in Ireland. The fish was very comparable, the chips were somehow even better, although the tartare sauce was chunkier and more intense in flavour which was not to my liking. 4/5. My wife had the duck with dauphinoise potatoes, broccoli topped with raspberry jus. The duck was perfectly cooked, pink in the middle with a crispy top. The dauphinoise were cooked in a mille-feuille style, very creamy and yet crispy, a perfect cook. The broccoli was also nicely seasoned and cooked with the jus complementing the duck nicely. A perfect 5/5 dish. For dessert we had the chocolate and cherry fudge torte. The consistency was a little bit dry with what was expected, however, the taste completely made up for it. The cherry sorbet in particular was exemplary and complemented the torte perfectly. 4/5 Overall a very pleasant meal and somewhere we will definitely visit again.

Came for a Sunday roast and it did not disappoint! Friendly and attentive staff, amazing food and quick service. Will definitely be back!

First time here today. Great initial impressions as the bar area is very welcoming. Excellent customer service, and the option to preorder the food before getting to your table is a really good idea. Very comfortable seating in a bright and clean dining area. Really good food across 3 courses plus coffee. Generous portion sizes and very reasonable pricing. Definitely returning. The politeness of the staff deserves special praise.

Great food, lovely staff and a nice venue. It's rare to find a chef that truly crisps the salmon fillet (makes for a lovely, crunchy crisp) and unusual to pair with gnocchi - loved it! But the rhubarb and custard baked alaska with gin jelly was fabulous.

Family birthday meal. Food was excellent, well cooked, seasoned (something l find lacking in lots of restaurants now), just right portions and delicious. The beef cheek croquettes, green salad with mustard & honey dressing are to die for. Thank you for one of the best birthday meals ever. Hopefully return soon

We chose this as a meeting place for someone I had met once before to meet 1-2-1 for the first time.. The welcome through the door was very welcoming.. Service was really friendly, helpful and efficient.. The food was really well presented and cooked. Most people were dining to the rear of the bar, which is a delightfully airy, warm, and welcoming place. A really enjoyable meal, the staff were attentive, made you feel welcome and the food fabulous.. Highly recommend this place for a great meal in a relaxed and friendly environment.

I’ve been wanting to dine at The Birch for years. We finally made it there last night to celebrate our wedding anniversary and it didn’t disappoint. The exterior has beautiful hanging baskets making the entrance very inviting. The interior décor is lovely and bright yet has a calm, relaxing feel. All the staff were so friendly and attentive throughout the evening. The food was delicious. We both had a starter and a main and shared the cheese board. I would definitely recommend and look forward to visiting again.
