Came here after church on Sunday with my wife and daughter and had a wonderful time! They loved creating their own terrariums while I enjoyed a delicious cappuccino. The atmosphere was relaxing and welcoming, and Samantha was phenomenal—she made the whole experience fun and easy to follow. It was absolutely worth the visit. We’ll definitely be coming back often. Loved this place!

Surprised with a terrarium building birthday gift!! idk what I expected but Fern & Fossil is a welcoming, chill green space - ideal for plant lovers and nature loving folks living in the Newark area🌱🪴 !! The owner Samantha was very kind and I wish nothing but the best for this business!

I highly recommend the terrarium building workshop. It was an exceptional experience for my staff and I! The facilitator's expertise and engaging teaching style made building a terrarium seem so simple. The workshop blended plant knowledge with hands-on steps, fostering a dynamic learning environment. We found the whole experience and ambiance to be relaxing, fun, and engaging, exactly what we were looking for! Thank you Fern and Fossil!

Waste of money and time. Walked in no one was inside, walked back out and the guy was coming in. He seems annoyed that he had to come in and make the coffee(like it's not his literal job). The coffee was cold and watery. I asked for creamer he said we have milk. He did heat the milk which was nice. Overall, the whole interaction was weird. He was sort of weird definitely shouldn't be serving people if he seems annoyed. Maybe put him in the back of the house, nothing customer facing.

Excellent coffee in a serene, delightful space in a beautiful developing neighborhood! A real gem in a historic section of Newark! I stopped in on a sunny weekday morning and was instantly greeted by the owner, who worked with me to craft a morning beverage exactly to my liking! The natural sunlight and the decor, comprised of ample plants and relaxing green makes for such a welcoming place to enjoy a coffee, read, grab a snack, or get some work done on your laptop. They have a variety of coffees and espresso drinks, with a nice case of fresh bagels, muffins, and cookies. My bagel was excellent as was the macadamia nut cookie that I enjoyed on the way out. If you like unique coffee spots with a comforting selection, this is right up your alley. Sam is the owner, who has put her personal touch on this place, and it has done wonders! Parking is easier than you might think as well. I highly recommend stopping in on your way to start the day, or to plop down for an hour or two and get some reading, writing, or work done.

An ideal experience post-tour of Krueger-Scott Mansion…loved the greetings, the Golden Latte + Strawberry-laced croissant, and the sensual setting which made for a heavenly memory!
