We were in town for a sports tournament and was looking for a good place to get seafood. We found this place based on Yelp reviews. When we walked in, we weren't sure what to expect. It is largely a seafood market. And the smell of fresh seafood was a bit overpowering ...so be ready! But at the same time, we had a feeling the food was going to be very good. After taking some time to browse the menu, we ordered a few different items, including one of the dishes on the specials board. The young man who took our order worked with us to ensure my son's food would be gluten free. We opted to wait in the car while we waited for our food. There are a couple of tables inside if you prefer that instead. There was a steady stream of people coming in, which was a good sign. It was a decent wait, but it was worth it! Everything we ordered was delicious and well seasoned. And the portion sizes were very generous. We had plenty to eat and leftovers to spare. I have already been telling others about this place. We will definitely plan to return the next time we are in the area.

This place is AMAZING! Everything is so fresh, and it has such a fisherman’s charm to it (not in a theme type way but you feel the lively vibe of a local company providing quality seafood to their community!). The food was incredible. We had shrimp, salmon, farro with roasted veggies and pesto, crabs, fish tacos, fried okra, peel and eat shrimp. It was amazing. I wished I could’ve eaten more but I was so full! The portion sizes are also super generous. Can’t wait to go back!

We are originally from Maryland... home of the Blue Crab from Chesapeake Bay. We were thrilled to purchase crabs from a reputable seafood market. Memorial Day, our crabs were AMAZING! But after bragging to our family that visited NC on the 4th, we were disappointed, as were they. There was no weight to these crabs or much flavor, this go-round. Next time I'll drive to Eagle Island and I'll steam them myself. Seafood is too pricey to be a waste.

I got a perfectly steamed plate. It wasn't an anomaly, because all 6 plates our family got were perfect. All the employees were very helpful too.

Buying uncooked seafood is good, but the made to eat seafood is not worth it. $19 for six scallops. Really! Come on. Terrible. The blue crab had zero meat. I mean zero. The shrimp were small, like the frozen kind. The chips were overcooked. Expensive food to sit next a busy road on a picknick table. Buy the seafood and cook it at home

Usually pretty good. Ordered q pound of fried shrimp for pick up. Got few blocks away and couldn't wait to get into it. Worse batch I ever had from there. Shrimp was tough (cooked too long). Not their usual. Like I said it's not usually like this, everybody has a bad day. And if there is a situation the owner always steps up to the plate to correct the situation and whatever manner to make it right. Y'all be blessed

Best seafood lunch in Midtown. I Love stopping through and getting some of the most delicious fresh seafood you can find in Wilmington for lunch!! Great oysters too!!!! Greg always takes the time to make sure im taken care of whether its bulk oysters, or a lunch with my lady. He makes a damn good cajun flounder sandwich and the oyster po'boys are legen....wait for it.....dary.... Legendary! Would recommend to anyone with a mouth and no seafood allergy.

I called before I went and asked for fresh head on shrimp. "Yes mam we have some ". I get there and see these dark colored shrimp. Again I asked are they fresh? One over speaks the one that's waiting on me and says yes! I could see the hesitation in the one waiting on me. I get home and find out I have old frozen shrimp that's stuck to the shell. Don't lie to your customers. Give them the option to choose something else!

I ordered the blackened flounder and it is so tiny. I am sitting in the shop right now and I am just shocked. I am typing this review as I am eating it and it is also insanely spicy (I promise I am not a wimp, I eat my boyfriend's spicy traditional Chinese food on the daily and even that is not this spicy). They could've at least disclosed that it's gonna be spicy but they didn't.
