The Cedar Country Hotel

We ate in Cedars bar last night. The starters were nice but things went downhill after that. My partner had the steak which was undercooked and full of gristle. I had beef curry. It had no flavour, very bland. It was a bowl of cheap cuts of meat with pieces of fat in it. The curry sauce came separate and it was just packet sauce. |The staff were lovely but the bar was very noisy with drunk people. Very very disappointed. Won’t be back. 😡

Went as a family reunion for Sunday lunch seven adults. The hotel is furnished and decorated to the highest standards and is immaculately clean..... Very homely and cosy.. The words laid back, no rush, just relax and enjoy would describe the ambience. |What a beautiful meal we all had. The selection of starters, main and dessert was great. A big shout out was the soup, lamb and Bailey's white chocolate cheesecake the most tantalising home made desserts.... A very satisfied customer. Can't wait to return.

Could not have enjoyed our stay more, welcoming fire in the bar and Mo a great host. Rooms ere clean and comfy bed. Best part was the food, will def be back to the Cedar Country Hotel. Hope to vivit in the summer as they have a cool looking outdoor area to enjoy, if you like a quiet stay away from the hustle this is the spot.

My partner and I visited with our dog just last week and we were both really impressed at this hidden gem. ||The bar was so cosy with a stove fire and lovely chesterfield arm chairs, ideal for a few relaxing drinks. The bar area itself is stunning and you can tell the three sisters who run the hotel have put a lot of love into this place. ||We will definitely be back as the food was really delicious and reasonably priced. Beautiful cooked and continental breakfast as well. ||Big thanks to Mo and Lynn for having us, hoping to be back soon.

Stayed here with my husband for 1 night (really would have loved to have stayed longer)|What a beautiful place , bedrooms are as stated 'cosy' so we weren't expecting large rooms but they have everything you need. Fabulous beds and extremely fluffy towels.|The bar is beautifully decorated and very homely.|We had food in the bar and if I could give it 20/10 i would. My husband had the steak which was cooked to perfection , I opted for the Indian Beef Curry which was the best curry I have ever had.|Lovely atmosphere and great staff.|Mo was brilliant , never stops, meeting, greeting, answering the phone, serving drinks and food and having time to speak to customers.|Thankyou for a wonderful time, look forward to returning.

Our stay at The Cedar Country Hotel, nestled in the picturesque countryside, was a delightful experience from start to finishWhile the rooms were on the little bit smaller than expected, they were incredibly comfortable and well-equipped with all the amenities one could ask for. The beds were particularly noteworthy, offering a restful night's sleep after a busy day.||The hotel itself was impeccably clean, with a charming seating area in the lobby where we could relax and unwind. The atmosphere was inviting and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived.||One of the highlights of our stay was dining at the onsite restaurant, The Sika. The dinner options were outstanding, and we were blown away by the quality of the food. My spouse and I both enjoyed our meals immensely – the Lamb Chops served with baby boils were a particular standout, as was the BBQ Beef Burger. The flavors were exquisite, and every bite was a delight.||Breakfast the next morning was equally impressive, with a generous spread to choose from, including items fresh off the grill. We left the dining room feeling satisfied and ready to tackle a long day ahead. ||One of the most memorable aspects of our stay was the opportunity to chat with one of the three sisters who own the hotel. She was an absolute delight to speak with, sharing stories about her time working in Canada and offering recommendations for places to visit in Ireland. Her warmth and hospitality added an extra layer of enjoyment to our stay.

Owners have done an excellent refurb of the building. This was my first visit here in a very long time and the restaurant is very nice inside. Food menu for a Sunday is lovely. Soup was lovely though bread roll would have been nicer warmed. My only mark off is just due to the plating, I think there is good room for improvement but it all tasted lovely. Music was a tad loud but they kindly did lower it. Staff used black gloves to serve the hot plates which I found slightly unusual rather than a tea towel but I do love a hot plate! Toilets were really nicely kept, love that they had loads of free toiletries for women too. Plenty of parking also. Would definitely recommend!
