We came here for lunch, the staff were so welcoming and let us sit where we wanted to. We chose to sit near the beautiful open fire. The pub felt warm and friendly and was very pretty! We got served very quickly and the food was amazing! Highly recommend the homemade pie and fish and chips! The waitress even recommended the best pudding which we all chose the strawberry cheesecake and it was delicious 🤤. We will be coming back very soon!

We had an amazing Sunday lunch as a family of 11. The food all came out at the same time and it was lovely. The staff were welcoming and the place is really nice. The new management and staff team are doing a great job!

Stopped here for drinks. Really friendly service and atmosphere. Food looks great but we didn’t eat here ourselves. Large pretty garden and large parking area.

Recommended. The Barley Mow is an hidden Gem in Oxted, Surrey. The food is superb. If you go at lunchtime during the week is quiet, but busy on Sundays.

Great pub, with plenty of character and good food options. Prices are a bit steep but food is good. Garlic bread was quite underwhelming. Drinks choice also good Inc non alcoholic beers as well.

I think we must’ve been unlucky on our visit to the Barley Mow. The wait for food was 54 minutes from ordering, with many patrons getting somewhat frustrated. When the food came out, our beef roast was really good although the hunters chicken came out as spatchcock which was unusual. The young waitresses were very professional.

Lovely lunch out. We both had burgers. One beef, one Cajun with a side of onion rings. Food was served hot, and quickly to our table by a smiley lady 😃 Plenty of onion rings to share between two, and the burgers and coleslaw were equally delicious. Will definitely be returning!

After hearing about this place for years in searches but never bothering, we ended up there this weekend by chance when it was the nearest pub to our walk. I wish we'd come here sooner. The food was fantastic (best roast beef I've ever had when out for lunch - and how many pubs have their own bakery?!), the staff were lovely, the atmosphere and decor were good and it's absolutely a place we'll be coming back to. Highly recommended.
