Only went to the pub for 1 drink on a Saturday evening. Didnt stay longer or eat. They had music playing over speakers, lots of room to dance if you wanted as only about 10 people in there when we visited. Lovely open fire burning which is in my opinion the nicest bit of the pub

Fantastic place to visit after the rugby. Really fun atmosphere.

We went here to see a band and it was great fun an old fashioned boozer nice staff and plenty of room. it was a good venue for the band and the atmosphere was good. Negatives was that they only seem to have one beer and that was not a great pint and also the smell of urine that kept wafting through every time the door opened was not pleasant. Having said that the place seemed clean enough.

Brilliant pub, everyone is so friendly, welcome and happy to meet new people, made 20 new friends there this past 2 weeks, playing pool, they don't ask you to order alcoholic beverages which is great for someone in recovery, yet still happy to have you there playing pool and socialising. My favourite pub in the are 💯 recommend.

We have visited here several times. The pub is steeped in history and a little querky and serves a good range of local beers. There are cozy fires in winter and a reasonable menu along with specials board. The food, pub fare, is usually well cooked and presented with a dish of seasons veg to accompany. The Sunday roast is worth a visit for and priced reasonably. Whilst we have normally found all satisfactory, we did have one experience when the veg was rather cold and a fish pie luke warm in the centre- hence the reservation in the title. However, that was the only disappointment we have experienced. Service has always been willing and friendly and I have little doubt that further return visits will follow.

Wow. Blown away by this place. Lots and lots of choice.... especially shots! Girl behind the bar was really friendly and helpful. Nice to have a pool table and an open fire. Just a nice local boozer!
